If You Don’t Like Cape Town’s Weather...

... wait 5 minutes. I’m lucky enough to live in a part of the Cape Peninsula (and extended Table Mountain National Reserve) that gives me a great opportunity to explore the great outdoors when I get a chance to break away from my desk. Recently I took my Samsung mobile through the horse trails of the Noordhoek Wetlands. I adore sour figs, so every time I pass a bush of these wild, deliciously sweet-and-sour fruits, I’ll stop to check if any are ready for harvesting. Yum. You’ll find people selling them at our robots (‘traffic lights’) for about R10, but unless you’re going to make a jam or preserve of some kind, I doubt you’ll manage more than 10 in one sitting.

This weekend a group of friends and I are heading out for a night to watch internationally acclaimed Faithless perform live. I’ve been waiting for more than 3 months for the day and have developed slight Insomnia as the day draw nearer to see one of my most favourite bands (third to Depeche Mode and Madonna possibly?).

Taming of the Shrew at Maynardville Open Air Ampitheatre, Easter and the 2 Oceans Marathon are approaching.
